Over a career that has spanned several decades so far, wold-renowned canine training expert Christopher Banke has worked hard and he has accomplished a lot. One of his proudest moments came when he made history as the first American to compete successfully in the RSV 2000 World Championship the IPO 3- handler-owner trained (HOT) category. That happened as he competed with his dog, Iriac vd Maineiche. Soon after, Christopher Banke’s dog Dino, (that name short for “Dino von der Maineiche”) received the 2nd highest Schutzhund/IPO 3 trial score in US history, which was another great milestone, with a score of 297.
In short, Chris Banke can point to many milestones in his long career as a premier dog trainer. One of his favorites came when that same dog, “Dino” was featured prominently in a role as a guard dog in the Oscar-nominated film, “Frozen River.” That film, which was directed by Courtney Hunt, was a high water mark in his training of dogs for films and other entertainment when it was released in 2008.
